Bram, the RS2 intercooler may be small but the temps in Holland are way lower than in Greece.Nonetheless a bigger intercooler will make a difference.

I dont think i will ever get rid of the cats,or at least i will manage to get away with one cat so that the car can be legal at all times. It would be nice to replace the 70mm catback pipes to 76mm(3inch) as i was told by my exhaust guy that he ahs deliberatelly used 76mm silencers for the purpose of if i ever wanted to go on higher hps that would be an easy change to make.
However although im now basically 1.9 to 2bar overboosting as Bram is,the car would be probably getting higher EGTs due to backpressure, in which case the remap should get really rich so then you end up loosing than gaining.SO an EVO EM,3inch pipes all around one cat less, and probably a floated cyl.head along with or without an EX cam would sure make a big difference.I dont know...future stuff talking here...Now that im in the UK im hoping that i may be able to pay MRC a visit sometime...hehe

        haha this is hilarious...
the guy at the maha dyno wrote to me and said that the calibration of their dyno has been done by maha at installation and has never been tampered with nor changed. It is the same for every car they measure!!NO changes whatsoever. So what are they changing between sessions?Only the use of 2 or 4 drums???
He also claims that there is nothing wrong with the dyno at all but doesnt answer as to how strong is their fan!!
When i present him with facts of power it should make,he simply ignores them and tells me to go back and have another go anytime for free!
Even if i were in Greece right now....why should i do that?On a dyno that will produce it's own results again and again? Why stress the car and engine??

well after contacting him,he finally said he would send it with email this time(as one time the printer was broken, the other time the scanner...)Anyway,he says that the dyno is fine, perhaps the car did not hold the boost on the dyno or it overheated and there was some advance retardation or something. At the end of the day,if that is true,it still doesnt make it a good dyno,as it stresses the cars without producing the correct results you see on the road.

                its safe.
congratulation for the car and be carefull on the slipery road with this power.
wich it´s the conversion of 0´7 lambda to wideband numbers???

thank you very much again mister Jamo

                    OK

i have to comparation the 440cc/3bar injectors and the 3b oem injectors 320cc/3bar both comparations in my RS2 setup with the 7A FPR and the numbers under full thorttle with the 440cc´s are ( 9´5 ,too rich because it´s not maped for these injectors) and i´ve tried too with the 3b ones and the numbers was under full thorttle 13´5 at 1´8bar..... and then 13´5 in wideband will be very lean???

Sorry for digging out the old thread, but I have a question. :

When should I expect the spool up of GT3071R with antisurge inlet on 2.2, 7A cams and RS2 manifold + 3,25inch exhaust all the way.

Mine spools quite late, so Im just thinking of some hardware problem - to solve it before I will have it mapped smoothly by someone whos not me

                      Thanks,

                      Radek

Simply, the turbo will spool up when the software tells it to, unless you are running a large WG spring.

The 3071 has to be held back a little early on to prevent surge, especially on the 0.63 housing but you should be getting full boost in the early to mid 3000 RPMs.

The inlet cam won't be helping with the situation, unless it's been timed using an adjustable wheel, so best swap back to a stock ABY item for this level of power, if it's all stock timing.

                          Thanks Rusty.

So let's say there is something wrong on my engine if it hasn't full boost out before 4400 even when I'm trying to not hold it back by mapping..

                            1. The turbo spools when the hardware dictates it spools. Basically when the flow over the turbine wheel is significant enough.
                            2. The software only limits peak boost, nothing else.
                            3. Full boost early to mid 3000 RPM's is a STOCK turbo. A 3071R with a 0.82A/R housing has full boost at around 4000-4100 rpm in 3rd.

4400 rpm in 2nd gear would be perfectly normal. Which gear was it checked in? What is the boost target? What A/R is the housing?

Anti surge compressor housing will kill the response a bit and with an .82 A/R housing you shouldn't need it.
7A cams also will reduce the VE lower down the rev range sightly compared to stock S2, so you you might benefit from changing those?

                                Hi, Thank you.

I have 0.63 A/R housing and it was checked on 3rd gear with boost target of 1,6bar. As I told you its not perfectly mapped, quite rich and conservative on Advance. Just wanted to be sure, everything is okay before somebody with experience will come to see me and map my car.

I was told that 7A cams would be nice with this setup as it will pull longer and also that they will prevent surge on low revs.
