nice plot!Th 7A cam really pushes strong in the red line!

As i remember ross's car with the GT3071R had produced 428hp crank on rs2 injectors by keeping 1.8-1.9bar to the red line, right?
How much hp gains would i have from 1.5 to 1.8bar to the red line with a nice injection tweek?
if the gains are 30hp then i can safely say that i must be around 390-400hp crank.Comment

Hmm... my car was tuned to about 1.5 bar @ 6000 rpm then drops to 1.2 to 1.3 @ 7000 rpm.
interesting if you can hold 1.8bar boost @ 7000 rpm with 3071. Maybe my tuner was too conservative.
But i was quite happy with the performance ..
I was running RS2 injectors on the 3071 for the calculated 460 crank hp.
Maybe fueling issues for injectors at high rpm thus the reduction in boost ?
My new Setup must run 2.2 bar till redline :mischeif: 750cc RC Engineering.

so you got,460hp crank on 1.5bar at the red line(i also have 1.5bar at the red line) only different injectors, which doesnt make a difference in performance. What EM were you using?
im happy with the performance as well.Maybe i will have a high boost chip made only for some occasions. But since 1.8bar on this turbo is achievable and safe, why not?Comment

I am not sure if you can calculate your HP like that by saying that you only have to increase the turbo pressure or fit big injectors so more fuel can be injected. I think the ignition timing is of big importance as well. Some people get higher HP by lowering the turbo pressure and optimize the ignition timing. And that ignition timing is where most time is consumed by the tuner when mapping a car properly.
@Faheemo:
However I still have my doubts if you are running 460 HP crank and still use the OEM RS2 injectors at 3.8 bar FPR........ I read somewhere on the forum that OEM RS2 injectors were maxing out around 400-420 HP with 3.8 bar FPR. I will be running the GT3071R turbo in a couple of weeks, so I am very interested reading your topics! Cheers.Comment

i presume that ignition timing is also on the safe side on my remap due to the fuel quality concerns,or at least it is this why more fuel than needed is utilized while ignition timing is optimized,so at least there is no way of getting lean.
also at my graph there is a sudden drop in around 6000rpm which is ignition timing related as the guy on the dyno mentioned. He said it is probably due to fuel qualityComment

If you work on 25% transmission losses then 334bhp is about 450bhp at the crank.
After all 334bhp is a serious ammount of power to be had at the wheels

I think tyre losses are calibrated into a rolling road and the transmission losses are calculated on a run down test withe the car is sat on the rollers.
With yours done on a hub dyno id say it`s more accurate and reads the true power you`re putting down to the road, because there are no tyre losses to calculate.
I would be happy with 340bhp at the wheels. The ONLY S2 Golf!

Done in 3rd gear..
used equation: crank hp = (Gtech Hp +10 ) divided by 0.82
apparently this is the conversion used for calculating crank hp on 4wd cars using a gtech.
Is it correct ?
Em is tubular , cheapo of ebay (Audspeed)

Ross car produced 2.0 bar on the road but on the dyno it boost spiked which dropped the pressure. As i remember ross's car with the GT3071R had produced 428hp crank on rs2 injectors by keeping 1.8-1.9bar to the red line, right?

I actually think his car was closer to 435bhp on the road.Comment
