FYI:
I have Pauls HomeFry and a Dahlback intake in my (ABY) S2, the rest of the engine is essentially stock, I also own a (7A) 90 20V Quattro.
Last week I straight swapped the (7A) exhaust cam from the 90, into the S2..AND,
vice-versa, swapped the (ABY) exhaust cam, into the 90.
My Audi Factory Trained mechanic seriously questioned my logic several times before performing the somewhat lengthy operation !!
But after the successful transplants and a good half hour of test driving in both cars, one thing was IMMEDIATELY apparent, and it was ALL GOOD
The 90 which has never had much torque low down and thus required a great deal of revs to keep in the power band, was instantly more responsive throughout all gears and ultimately MUCH smoother to drive.
The S2 which thanks to the turbo had plenty of low down torque, but ran out of puff up top, now still had low down pick up, BUT, instead of peaking at ~4000-5400 with mad torque (thanks to the homefry !), it now does not stop pulling like a beast until redline cut out
There is one aspect to account, the boost now appears to come on just a TAD later but it is LINEAR and smooth all the way to the top, whereas before it really peaked and thus resulted in my girlfriend referring to the S2 as SKITZO the Scalded Cat
This swap has transformed both cars and made them far more "driveable" much to the amazement of my mechanic who just kept scratching his head and smiling !
The next step for me is to try a 0.2 greater spring tension in the WG and also an adjustable cam pulley to add a couple of degrees advance in order to further retain the stock turbo characteristic of earlier spool and torque, AND all the above goodness
Although ultimately I'm going to do it "properly" and go GT3071 with remap etc, etc...

).

Tempted to go for an adjustablecam gear to try and advance the 7A inlet a little to more like the NM inlet.
