No, I've got another car as a daily driver, but I'm planning to drive to gatherings & meetings, track days etc, and some cruising.
After the last rebuild (including the 35/40) I took some longer trips with it without any bigger problems besides that the idle went awol pretty often. And of course the time when I ended up tightening the oil cooler fittings, with probably tools made early in the 19th century, on an island in the middle of the Baltic Sea!
But that was of course with not so aggressive cams and stock comp ratio.Red cars are the fastest ones...

With an order of 2 sets I can supply these at £530 .If your going for 82.5mm JE's i can ask Aelred for a price for a set of 5 as i'm after a set fore 82.5mm bore as well and just comparing prices to see whats cheapest. I'm looking at 8.5:1 CR as well so if you want to pm me what your after i'll ask Aelred later today when i get a free minute.

Oh, that certainly sounds competitive!
What piston specs are the price for? Options etc.Red cars are the fastest ones...

Ok!
I don't know what options Jay had in mind? I was thinking of perhaps acc grooves, cr grooves, heavy duty wrist pins, dual pin oilers? But I haven't decided...
Delivery times?
And just in case I'm the only one who wants a certain spec - price for a single set, if possible?
Thanks,

Personaly I would go for the racing piston with wasted skirt, ceramic coated deck, total seal rings, uprated pins. nearly 80gms lighter then basic piston. Good for over 800BHP.
Approx. 200gbp more per set but will have to confirm price.
Delivery approx. 4 weeks.AelredComment

They use pistons from Wössner, a german company: http://www.woessner-kolben.de/Fritschki

I haven't finalised what i'm after yet and unfortunately engine parts have been put on hold for the next month or two... I'm going 82.5mm bore, 8.5:1 CR. total seal rings and larger gudgeon pins would be nice but we'll see what budget allows.
