If you are talking about the "00513 - Engine Speed Sensor (G28)" fault code, I believe that one comes up when scanning for codes and the engine is not running.
It isn't a real fault code. I'm surprised that the mechanic is not aware of that.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

where abouts is the air temp sender mate, if it was faulty would it not show on a code reader, i am losing patience with the garage i don't want to pay for more parts that ain't going to fix the problem. i was thinking about going up there and having a look myself.

i think it sits on the inlet manifold .or that could be air pressure sensor.

whst are the chances my misfire is not being caused by something electrical but maybe a fautly injector or maybe a knackered valve in the head.

after nearly 2 months my misfire fault is still there. what sensors are on the car that could be causing this fault so far i've replaced

              ht leads
              coil pack
              spark plugs
              dizzy cap/ rotor arm
              maf
              tps
              air temp sensor

i've also noticed that when idling it will miss a beat but it revs up fine when stationary it's just does it under load.
