Going from a 3.8bar to a 4bar FPR will increase the fuel flow by approx 2.5% (square root of the pressure increase). It equals swapping the stock injectors (approx 360cc) with 370cc injectors.
It will run slightly richer at WOT, but at part throttle, it will be well within the authority range of the OXS system, keeping the AFR around 14.7.
Note, however, that stock RS2's seem to run pig rich, so making it even richer is not good.
I run my fuel pressure from 2 to 3.6 bar depending on the mix of petrol an ethanol in the tank.

Finally I buy the ADU FPR and I will do some test with the 2 FPR's!
Cheers
Jose, test they and talk about.
I bought one regulable between 3 and 5 and my meca say me that this´s broken...and I must mount my ABY frp another time.
I am putting together my 3B with the same spec RS2 stuff but i was led to believe that fitting the 7A FPR would suit this set up...Is the 7A FPR not 4 bar?
Yes 7A FPR is also 4bar... It is in the right package for easy upgrade on a 3B fuel rail.
3.8bar vs 4bar is in the noise - easily within adaptation limits as stated earlier for an ECU that expects either one...
The RS2 and S2 both run quite rich at WOT - factory programming is typically very conservative - to cater for aging of components, fuel quality etc etc... I would wager that an otherwise stock ABY (if any still exist) would run better at WOT on the 3.8bar FPR as they would be a little bit leaner - makes more power unless it induces knock with a leaner mix (good fuel required) or of course that EGTs get so high that its detrimental.
Don't forget my RS2 on standard maps stuck the 561 code up and used far too much fuel all from the FPR being 0.2 bar too high. This was the original 3.8 fpr gone wrong. My ECU couldn't deal with the extra pressure so why will others be ok?

I've done it without problems... dunno why your car threw up a code... could be a combination thing maybe with other variables contributing to it - like MAF or temp sensor out of spec (or on the edge).
Mine did the same when I was using stock RS2 software with the 4bar FPR. Fault codes, very rich running etc. Switched to RS2 3.8bar and it was spot on again.

the best intentions are fraught with disappointment - gil grissom

I'm running the 7A FPR on my RS2 setup ofcourse this is a custom map.
But the main issue is that the RS2 FPR won't fit that easily on the 3B fuelrail where as the 7A fpr is a much better fit. I believe the RS2 FPR is integrated into the fuel line on the ABY and ADU.
