You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
That is one way of advancing/retarding the intake without affecting the exhaust cam. I'll be using one in the foreseeable future to further manipulate my particular cam setup.
and kent cams etc... don't buy the 034 one though as it has the full teeth which is for the 4cyl 16v engines.
Repo one looks nice.
They pretty much do the same job as each other so long they are the half rounded teeth (quieter chain running and compatible with original I5 ones), so long one hasn't got to clear the head like you do with the catcams ones
I'm already running them, just wanted to try a little experiment which involves advancing the intake by 7 degrees and then at a later date retard the whole lot by 2 degrees. Just to fatten up the mid I don't think I can get much more out of the .63 backhousing now at the top end as I feel it is pretty much on it's limit flow wise without the EGT's going through the roof at redline.
Once I got the cam configuration the way I want it a .82 housing will go on and then I'll build a proper engine for the car rather than odds and sods lying about on a budget.
