the line i use is similar to factory. it connects to the factory return point. i expect its bigger than 13mm inside though. my turbo feed is vertical and exit the same. it looks very similar to the one in the picture you posted.not a trace of oil in pipes/housing in 2 years.
once the seals are gone they dont often fix themselves. especially with that amount of oil.

check the return isn't blocked. thats an awful lot of oil for a seal to pass. are you sure you dont need a restrictor?

blocks i have, the return is 20mm, and 13mm is definately too small.

If bigger drain does not help, put on a restrictor in oil feed. 1.7mm or so.

Also, how much did you pour oik in to the motor?

My K24 used to smoke a lot more than it does now until I re-instated the breather system that keeps the sump at a small vacuum during normal running and helps keep the oil from seeping past the oil seals. Putting up with mine for now as intend to go to an uprated turbo next year and not really an issue once moving.

So which Comp turbo have you got fitted now if you are only just planning an upgrade?

thats nothing to do with oil pressure or the turbo its about crankcase pressure and blowby.

all those breathers are there for a reason so shouldn't be blocked

Do You have the oil drain going on to the side of the block, or to the top of an appendage on side of the sump pan?

I have changed the drain for a 16mm, biggest i can go without custom fittings & a 2mm restrictor, I am going run her again shortly & see if this helps

                  Thanks for your advise

The oil drain is slightly underneath the oil level with 5 liters. Makes things even more tricky with oil drain.

I sincerely hope the piston ring seal hasn't cooked itself already.

If nothing else helps, lower the oil under the drain return, and try again.

I have a ball bearing ct355, after shifting; even with very little boost; it throws a cloud of smoke. Is a oil feed restrictor needed, or not? And if so, what diameter should I use? I can obtain a 0.8mm restrictor for garrets, is this the right size restrictor for ct355?

                        Thanx!

Is it a ball bearing turbo? If it is, then you need a restrictor.

Something like 0.5mm. And don't use it anymore without the restrictor, you destroy the turbo sealings.
