    Hi

Do Not run your turbo without a restrictor at all ! I think when this thread was started I was running a non ball bearing turbo from comp

I now run a a 3b ct 458 62 .63ar with billet turbine, best comp supply the restrictor as its very small check with them

I have a .8 restrictor from garret coming now. funny thing is Bram did not use any restrictor at all with this turbo.

There's not way you can run a 3 b comp without a restrictor they are very sensitive to oil pressure

I will advise again contact comp for there recommendation for the restrictor . 8 is to big for a comp 3b

I had a 0.4mm restrictor in my Comp, arranged by Repo.

That isn't true at all, you need a restrictor with the comp turbo infact mine had 2, one for the oil filter and the one the comp provide on the turbo oil inlet.

Hell run without one and report back to us what happens

Why do you think Bram didn't use one?, he had the early version of the 3TB turbo where the restrictor is built into the turbo. Comp changed the design and it became a seperate gold fitting.

Because his turbo is mine now, so I don't need a restrictor?

Not if it's that turbo, your turbo has a serial number on it, you can check with comp to be sure. You should also be able to see on the oil inlet at the bottom of threaded section the inlet hole is tiny.

I bought it straight out of his hands so it was Bram's. He also thinks it has a restrictor inside, but is not sure anymore. so if I take off the oil feed line and look inside I should see the restrictor?
I will try to take a picture tomorrow.
                      Thanx for all the help!

I took off the oilfeed and indeed there is a restrictor inside. The hole is about the same as the 0.8mm restrictor I have. Redid my breather hoses and no smoke anymore

I have the same but still run the 0.4 as recommended by comp and Repo with filter fitted, otherwise it still passed a little oil

                            So no brainer
