RS2 MTM 360hp race Turbo Identification!

Here is a photo of the Turbo Setup I have on my car, and the Serial Number on the Turbo. can anyone tell me what size @ power it is capable of?

It was apparently purchased by the previous owner from Kim Collins at QST, as part of the 360bhp package.

Since the RS2 turbo's serial numbers start with K24, one has to assume that your "race" turbo is derived from a K26. Not that that is a bad thing. It just might have a lot of lag OR it is completely built to one-off specs for QST.

BTW, it is pretty easy to get 360 to 380 chp out of an RS2 K24-7200 turbo. Those chaps at QST sure know how to "market".

QST get most of their turbo's from Turbo Dynamics in Ringwood so I'd talk to them. Looks like the same Hybrid Turbo I have on my MTM 350 conversion.

The S2 / RS2 turbo range come direct from MTM in Germeny, if you order most parts they have to wait for it to arrive from Germany for the car. Same with the ECU it was sent to MTM to be chipped.

Do not confuse their old products with their new offerings.

Grant at AET should be able to tell you more details based on ID plate I would reckon.

The ECU's used to be sent to Germany more than 10 years ago as my 3B was but for the last 10 years the ECU's are modified (chip sockets fitted and new remap chips burnt / fitted) in house. I watched Kim do my ABY and fit the 3 bar map sensor.

The Turbo on my car which is only a few years old and part of my MTM 350 (used to be called MTM 360 BHP) kit came fro Turbo Dynamics - it has the plate from them on the side with the serial number etc.

The turbo on my brothers car is a Turbo Dynamics one. Mihnea identified as a turbo dynamics one at billing a couple of years back.

Without taking it it off and apart to verify, it looks like a K27/K26 #8. I am pretty sure that MTM used the same turbo on the 380/428 versions. The inlet alloy pipe suggests that it is a K27 compressor housing as this has a larger inlet (70mm) than the normal RS2 one.
The info is on here somewhere. Its a K27 3072 comp wheel with the K26 #8 exhaust turbine housing.

That sounds about right as Kim said he could possibly re use the turbo if he performed the 428bhp Stage 5 on my car!

So lets say I use a Wagner IM, Wagner larger IC, Highly Flowed Head, maybe uprated Cams, obviously a Remap, Full 3"+ Downpipe and SS nice clean Exhaust that flows right out the back and looking OEM, the turbo that QST supply for the 360-428bhp upgrade with 70mm coldside that is already on the car, so what is the max I cud squeeze from this setup with some master of I5's Remapping my RS2?

well you would need a set of uprated conrods to go more power than 360 ish , depending on torque , which this hybrid would kick in pretty hard if asked to!!

Any takers on power? This could be an interesting thread. Does anyone know anything about KKK turbochargers?

                              i have a turbo from S2 MTM (kkk 26 14-70)

what i found out is the cold side is simular to rs2 but the cold side is smaler than rs2 and biger than stock k24.

the numbers are allmost simular to yours turbo. i found that my turbo can delivery 330 hp. look this link maybe can help you....

but if you go more than 350 hp you have to use H beam.
