Thats WIERD!!!Funny, I had the exact same problem on Thursday - first time I'd taken the Avant out of the garage in 2 weeks, and first time about 3 weeks I'd actually had chance to put my foot to the floor for more than a few seconds. It was fine below 1bar boost, but as soon as I let the needle get above that it felt like I'd hit the redline. Violent, sudden juddering.
Perhaps it was something to do with the weather? Because Friday I took the car out and it pulled like a train, 1.3bar no problem. I was going to say, perhaps it was damp if you'd not driven the car for 10 days but looks like you found the problem - and I may want to clean my MAF, check for leaks and reset codes, then go out for another test-drive to be sure...
Same issue - same day.... SPOOKEY
She had been sat for a few days, but had driven it to work in the morning without an issues but I wasn't pushing her as I was low on fuel...Comment

Thanks!!!
If you have the bumper off and you haven't done the Mark H Mod... I would highly recommend that you do it...
That's where I had my first major boost leak after fitting Paul's Homefried ECU...Comment

Note the second post in this thread..
There's a whole thread I started a year or two ago about the MAF connector, sometimes a wiggle will do it
I eventualy took the pins out of the connector one by one and cleaned the contact surfaces with an old piece of 1000 grade wet and dry lubed with wd40, then coated them in silicon grease and clicked them back in, I've not had the problem since and it has been occuring on and off since I've had the car (8 years?
).

Exactly same thing happened here... second time in about two years... severe kangaroo juddering when accelerating hard, past about 3,000rpm... yet totally finw ehen you ease back a little or just drive gently.
Newsh has it right... I disconnected the MAFF connector (as shown in previous pic in this thread) and spreayed it with contact cleaner..re-connected..and hey presto back to full power.SOLD !
