Ok, can someone point me at a how-to for removing the ecu from that weird clip behind the dashboard? Ok yes, this is embarrassing but I've never seen one that was still in its clip before
I've just spent 1/2 an hour upside down in the passenger footwell and I feel a bit uncle ****..
I think its just a case of wriggle it about, contort yourself a bit, and make sure its not catching on the carpet!
I remember the first time I did mine it was really stiff, got there in the end though
Yep I tried to remove the one from the coupe, but failed. I tried various methods of trying to depress the clip but kept failing. But its a good thing, as I now want to put in to the avant . I am planning to remove the seat and get better access, as trying to get it out on the coupe , twisting and flipping nearly made me sick lol
Got it! Got a bit more creative with the search function, secret is in pushing the ecu away from you towards the engine, I used a flat screwdriver to lever it away from me and it started to drop down easily, then it gets hooked up on the wires and then I had to push it back up to unscrew that white clip, then it got snagged on the carpet... Out now anyway the coupe ecu hasn't even got the carrier with the clip so no wonder it won't stay put up there lol
