Must admit the 1.8t engine in a lighter car would be good but my experiences of them ain't the best.

In the 1.8t A6 they are slow and suffer from boost leaks badly.

My 1.8 n/a a4 was truly awful, it had good history etc but managed to kill half the ecu and run on just over 2 cylinders then it just would not run properly once all this was sorted. Economy was sub 20miles on a long journey. I won't ever buy another 1.8 20v n/a car again if I can help it.

If you do start up this project then keep us updated with pictures etc, either way 16vt or 20vt (ever thought about a supercharged 16v you'd be a f'in hero )

Just to add fuel to the fire,

Has anyone thought about or done a 5 cylinder turbo diesel into an B4 chassis, for everything S2 but with the economy of a diesel ?

Just wondering, sticking with petrol though myself.

          Kind regards.

Does it looks like B4 (avant) to you or not?

i like this coupe as its got the looks n handles well but 16 valve just not enough
rather it go to a deserving home than me strip it
