    Turbo upgrade with stock parts?

    Hello guys.

Im new here, from Germany and drive a Audi RS2.

I have a qeustion about a turbo upgrade but without replacing stronger rods.

I have allready a stronger clutch , Wagner IC and EM , feulpump etc. and now i want a bigger Turbo.

So is there a turbo that i can put on my car? i now have 355Hp and 500Nm, im hoping for 400-420Hp and 550-570Nm , i think that is safe for my standard setup.

Hope you guys can help me!

    Cheers

my suggestion is ... don't play this game : i think it's safe with standard setup..

if you now have 355hp you are now on connecting rod end . this is maximum you can get with stock engine.

take engine out, change rods, and than you are safe. if you want 400-420hp than use gareett gt 3076 or comp turbo 355. this is my advice.

    and show as your car...

    few picture please...

Not recommended but you can go to a kkk k27 and get enar 400 but mapping has to be careful. Not worth the effort. Replace the rods in the car and do it properly. There's no such thing as a short-cut I'm afraid.

You simply need a better remap, you can get at least 650nm+ torque and 380 bhp out of the RS2 turbo on stock rods

Speak to MRC about their 1.9 bar high boost chips

you can go far beyond the 370 or 380 mark with stock parts but you must be carefull with torque. it is beiing said that 550nm is the high limit of the stock rods.

if you can hold the torque down you can theoretically go till 500hp

My RS2 @ 2.15 bar is at 420hp and 600nm at the wheels on E85 and stock engine. Hard to guess crank values, but since the quattro drivetrain saps some energy, power at the crank is probably somewhat higher than the number at the wheels.

Mtm do 425hp on the rs2 without changeing the rods. Ofcourse they do not mention what the torque is.

What at what rpm the torque is delivered, does that matter?

really dont know how many hp i am or was running, but i was using the RS2 Turbo boosting 2.0bar without any problems, and now i am using the hybrid k26/27 ,1.8bar without any problems too in of course stock internals, only i have installed a wider metallic head gasket 8.8:1 CR with ARP head studs torqued a lot as PK Motorsport suggested and sold me and 0 problems

and MTM did too 428hp in their S2 RSR with 358lbft at low 2600rpm with k26/27 turbo and it seems to be too in stock internals. and wow boosting only 1.38bar... i cant understand it

                          take a look ¡¡

actually this power was reccorded with a stock aby downpipe, it now has a 3" dp and sport cat..

there seems to be some arguments as to what is the limit of stock internals, i thought i was close to this limit at 400lbsft with stock rods? people saying they are running 600-650NM, by my rough calcs thats about 470-490lbsft?!

whats the limit of the K24 7200 in terms of boost level, power/torque etc?

boost limits depend on ening specs. a heavily ported and cammed head will not see 2 bar from such a small unit without serious issues. its about flow as much as boost. aviod fireballing the turbo.

on the rods all i can say is theya re all different and crying after a bent rod is "i told you so" tackle.
