some did check with a proper gauge. so we are trying to understand if the readings are normal for these engines or the rumor of 1.8bar at idle is a misunderstanding
Oil Pressure issues

Confirmed. Can't believe this thread is still going on! The aux gauges are really just for quick reference / show, they are not accurate at all!
Check it with a proper gauge if you are worried. If you had really low oil pressure your top end would make a racket you would know about it!
Race technologies sensor with Dash 2 read different to stock so i got a mechanical gauge and tested itChefComment

Painfully I can see myself buying all RT sensors for mine, I only have two ( Fuel pressure and Oil temp ) but after your findings I think I'll maybe invest in a oil pressure one.Comment

We seems to have almost the same results. I used a industrial gauge to check the pressure:

I didn't try to messured with mechanical gauge , I change 3 sensors for oil pressure , and I also use sensor from s6 aan which have on idle 1.8bar.
and in every case it is 1 bar at idle.
now I just buy new sputter bearings for connecting rod , and now I go to change them. they are 3 years old , but I must see how they look and change it with new one.
will post at evning when I find out how they look..
wish me a luck

i have just ordered the sender and pressure switch to replace in the near future. i cannot have yet another gauge staying there. if i can change that and still have the same reading, ill get a mechanical reading sorted and judge by the difference in the readingsComment

now I came from "garage".. well I change conecting rod bearings , and
it is still 1 bar..
now I think a little bit .. I saw that after half of minute after cold start oil pressure start to drop on 4.5bar , after 30 second they are on 4 bar, and after 3minute they are on hot idle and have 1bar.
so oil pressure start to drop very quickly . oil and water are still "cold" . which part of engine are hot in this first 30 second?
the cilinder head.. are they?
which part of cilinder head restrict the oil? could that be a hydro lifters? YES..
I have the old hydro lifters , they have 20 years..
have in basement 40 almost new hidro lifters, but one of them make a bad (tiking) sound.
tomorrow I will change all 20 and find out what is going on.. maybe it will help..
what do you think?Comment
