Just checked the map and log why is ego disabled at 0% thats mad, lambda is off under load and the mat / fuel enrichment could do with some tuning. Use the default config as a guidline

    2 bar with lambda 1?
Yeah, knock control will not save you, unless you set up mad enrich/limp mode.

Also, the H-Rods will not save it either, probably the pistons will let go if they are not all already chipped and melted.

The problem was that it run at 2 bar with almost the same fuel that gave him 0.94 lambda at 1.1 bar.
So he run 2 bar with a lambda of approx 1.
EGO correction and the other EGT and IAT boost/ ign retard features where disabled.

I think that even with knock control it could not be avoided that easily.

However it is a nice feature.

That is a seriously cr@p setup, on the Rolling Road days I did stock RS2's with 3" exhaust blew that out the water unchippped!

I make that torque on RS2 turbo with 1.8 bar without blown up engines...
And on K26/K27 more, and I have mapped lots of cars like this.

Also, 034 graphs are not the best example of what can be done with stock ecu. If you want a bigger name tuner than little noname me, then look at MRC.

This "600nm bends rods" stuff is an age old myth... Look at in-cylinder pressure transducer analysis in any internal combustion engine during knock. PCP can easily spike 500%.

I did not, and I have nothing to admit.
I said uncontrolled knock likely happened in combustion chamber, which likely was out of spec for the given connecting rods, and that you are not supposed to get holes in the block just because you are running 600nm on the stock connecting rods.

You are really reading into it too much. I have seen plenty of these engine's go boom on plenty of different ECU's.

Anyway, new block -> H-rods -> detcans on ears when driving for some time.
If this was not caused due to mechanical errors, then the knock that caused it with H-rods fitted will be enough to destroy the bearings. The weakest part always lets go.

Where's the map link out of interest? Dunno about this argument going on here it failed its getting rebuilt end of IMO
Only way to know what happened is to take it apart and analyse
Couldn't give a hoot what ecu it was

Again, I did not blame this on purely knock control.

    Here is my original post:

Exactly what happens when you have no knock feedback at all and run too much timing/boost.
At no stage did I say "VEMS blew up the engine". Don't read into things too much
Possibly because it happened when cold, the map was not correct for cold conditions, and caused an excessive leaning of the fuel mixture for example... or injectors ran out, or whatever.
    A million different reasons.

My point was to say, that 600nm does not cause a hole in the block.
I have seen holes in blocks with stock turbo also plenty of times now, but it is not because of some imaginary torque number.

knock control feedback is not all you need assuming that there wasnt a mechanical fault.

if this was down to knock, it could have still been avoided if the map was properly done. (ie so that there no knock in the first place)

Not making any assumptions about ecu. Ecu is just a calculator, I did not blame ecu for this.
I just said engine went boom due to knock or alternatively there was a mechanical fault due to possibly mistakes made in the engine build.
Stuff like that does not happen at 600nm with stock rods with everything running correctly, as I have been able to prove many times. This turbo is less powerful than even a rs2 turbo. How often do you see such engine failure on chipped rs2s?
