A Little Engine Tuning Help Please

I am away to fit the following to my engine, so I was wandering what else I should do, such as, should I have changed pistons, used a different head gasket etc?

    Stock ABY with Aronmatic rods
    RS2 bearings
    Stock head gasket
    ARPs
    Wagner reverse IM
    Wagner RS2 Evo T3 EM
    CT355 turbo
    Siemens 630cc injectors
    VEMS
Currently standard cams, but I may try find RS2 ones and get Repo to supply some adjustable sprokets.

So, should I have changed the pistons?
Should I keep standard pistons and a different Head Gasket?
What is the part number for Sport quattro head washers?

    Any other advise?

I was also hoping to run E85 in the future, so it would be worth bearing in mind the extra torque and power that comes with that...

For E85 you will need larger injectors I think.
Though if you run them at 4 bar, it might be sufficient.

      Also a better fuel system,

If you have not built the engine yet i would recommend a blue printing book.

        sounds very similar to mine.

i had the psitons skimmed to lower compression slightly.

If running E85, reducing compression should not be neccessary.

Thanks for the response so far...

The E85 is currently only available 80 miles away, so thats a way off for now, but something I would like to do when it comes to aberdeen... I was thinking I would need bigger injectors for that but I already have these ones. I suppose I will swap as and when...

I have an 044 to install, that be good enough?

The engine is built, but if need be I will replace stuff. I'd rather take it to bits to replace stuff than it blow to bits.

E85 wasn't readiliy availalbe here either. i had a 2 044 pump setup ready for that. on petrol the one is ok. not sur eon E85 at say 5-600hp.

it wont blow to bits i dont think. reducing compression helps when going up the boost up the rpm. what it means is you can run an increased amount of timing ove rthe usual helping to control the egt.

my turbo is very similar i think rated to about 600hp. t3 stage 5 hotside to4e cold. i run 1.9 bar boost. i had the pistons skimmed to give me that extra level of safety before a full block build would be needed. its been fine for 2 years.

the downside of these mods is poorer low down response although the 7a cams dont help there at all.

When I took mine to Mihnea for mapping he was dissapointed that I hadn't lowered the compression a bit, 034 head gasket would have done it..

to the more knowledged whats worse for squish - skimmed piston or stacked gasket?

i went skimmed because i wanted to just use a stock gasket and not have to worry about the spacer.
im not sure but my engine seems happy.

e85 needs 40% more fuel you will need dual pumps and maybe bigger fuel lines plus over a 1000cc injectors

i agree with jamo on the E85. also its no good if your running out of fuel and cant get any.

in the end i didn't use the sport q washers. i used the arp. they seemed ok.

In my CT355 setup I use normal compression (OEM steel head gasket and OEM pistons). it works well and saves you money. Your setup is exactly the same as my 500HP engine, although I had Jyrki come over to do his magic Cam trick and map it accordingly
