Maf to turbo pipe often rubs through on the back of the headlight trim.

I don't even have a factory oxygen sensor.
Plus, oxygen sensor is not used by M2.3.2 at WOT.
I have a metal MAF-Turbo pipe, that won't rub through. Plus, I pressurized my system starting from the MAF and it can hold 1.5 bar without issues.
I actually installed the new fuel pump, but have not had time to do any logs yet...
The pump was not exactly plug and play (perhaps it would be on an urS4, bot not on my urS6), but we managed

Got a TINY bit richer with the new fuel pump (0.1-0.2 or so).
Tomorrow I will install a VEMS Round and verify the output against my controller.
I have changed pretty much everything except the controller now, so if that shows 14 under boost as well, I am stumped.
That said, being leaner across the range (offset) could indeed be an issue with the controller.Comment

Is the fuel pressure regulator ok ?Paul Nugent

Yes, I have tried two and with both it is exactly the same.Comment

Nope, that's tight.
Actually I have a T piece and the vacuum for the FPR is the same one that goes to the ECU (not the best solution I know, but I didn't do it).
So, if I had a vaccuum leak there, my MAP sensor would read incorrect as well, but it does not.
Either way, that's not leaking vacuum in the slightest.Comment

I was just thinking that the FPR has to see boost so it can turn up the fuel pressure to compensate for pressure in the manifold, so if it was kinked or blocked the fuel pressure would not be high enough on boost, this would not be a leak so not detected by a pressure test.
I'm pretty sure my avant has a T piece in that line too..Comment
-
Yeah I know.
But my MAP sensor sees boost just fine, and because it is on the same hose as the FPR, I know the FPR has no vacuum or boost leak either...
I have checked most things that are to do with fuel pressure. I don't think my fuel pressure is bad.Comment

Ok, I think I'd still take off the short length of tube from the T piece to the FPR and make sure its not blocked. Probably fine though..
How about the altitude sensor? There's a few of us that have had problems with them.Comment
-
I doubt altitude sensor affects fueling this much.
Also, I have taken the T piece off, everything is fine there. In fact, the hoses are like two months old.Comment

You can check the alt sensor easily with a meter anyway, details are on here.Comment
-
I can check it a lot easier.
I can just map boost so, that I have spring pressure always, except for overboost.
BTDT, the alt. sensor is fine
I see ambient pressure correctly in VAG-COM as well.Comment

VEMS Round and my WBO2 are within .01 of eachother.
I made my tables a bit richer and everything is fine.
I have not logged lambda when it has been this could though, maybe the chips are supposed to run so lean (there's no knock).
Running ~12 under boost now and 1.6 bar boost. Getting very slight knock @ 2800 rpm, so motronic pulls boost and timing. It's inaudible to my ears though.
Anyway, perhaps I was too worried? Everything else seems to check out, the car runs fine... just need to adjust my timing a bit and I will have a nice setup with 1.6 bar.Comment

Just wondering, is your IAT sensor ok?Comment
