    Electrical problems, strange things happens...

    Got some strange problems.

Two days ago my temperature warning light startet flash, but the the water aint to hot and their is enough water on the engine.

Then last night, suddenly the windows wipers and the flash light (the one that flashe orange when u signal a turn) wont work, but suddenly while driving they work again.

Then this afternoon, i start the car and suddenly the car gets way to much gaz, black smoke comes out the exhoust pipe and the engine goes out in idle. And at the same time the warning light for to hot temperature has stop, though it had been on constanly for 2 days. However i pullover and turn off the engine then wait for some time and start again. Now the warning light is their again and the car drives fine.

I think this is very strange and i have no idea what is wrong, anybody have a suggestion? Or has anybody experiance anything remotely like that? Did not think that audi's had theese elektrical problems, thought that was FORD and french cars

You could check that your ground tags are good connections, clean and tight, down under the Inlet Manifold near the dizzy. Not sure where the other grounds are but this seems like a ground fault or maybe a loose connector on the fuse box?

Yeah will give that a go with the connectors, think the fuse box is oki, but how do you check if it is?

Well if you take out the panel underneath the dash and have a look, you can see if any connectors have been pulled loose, give the wiring a gentle push around and see if anything goes on and off, in my car its the parcel shelf under the steering wheel, not sure on a LHD car though..
