Also RS2 turbine assembly does not really flow past 380hp. You just get crazy pre-turbo EGT and knock.
rs2 bearing will happilly handle 420 no problem.

      Read again what I wrote.

Taking a tiny turbine and sticking a huge compressor on it only sounds good on paper, and that's before you get to basic physics of why it won't work.

that's your opinion, but like i said this is an experiment and either you agree with it or not.

what kind of turbo i have ... k26/27 ...modified, with only 1.5bar by 4000rpm??

          other k26/27´s are boosting 1.9bar by 3800rpm?

based on for example the MRC dyno,Doug said that never saw before any RS2 setup with more than +/- 370hp

i'm just interested to see how you get on, its good to hear people trying new stuff, no offence ment.

As above do you use anything to monitor fuelling etc? you can pick up stuff quite cheap to do this.

Keep it up, if people didn't try stuff then the world would be a pretty boring place

we all know that rs2 turbo is far superior than the k26 turbo.
this thread is all about rs2 k27 hybrid and not k26 27 which we all know about.

you should have a try first...

i drove my car for a lot of months and 2-3 years with RS2 turbos... and it was very very fun,but nothing compared with my new feeling with this laggy turbo. you have lots of fun while you are between 4 and 7K rpms ... and far far quicker than the RS2 power 400kms with mapping were more than enough ,for know what is more funny to drive. i was feeling like 50/60Hp more in the ***/back than with RS2 turbo

good luck with your experiments, report them to us.

and how WTF you do to try the different turbo/s...talking about mapping ??

                            Ok, thanks.

Are you fitting the different turbo combinations, driving it, changing turbo bits then taking it for a remap on turbo is finalised? So using stock or generic software at the moment?

As said its cool to see new experiments.

I was more pointing to the idea that using VGT for fast spool and good top end instead of faast spool or good top end.

VGT is probably still rarely used on petrol engines.

you hit the nail right on the head there.
once all done, remapping will be the next step for obvious reasons.

at the mo,i'm using generic software with high boost but tempted to go stock just to see how this turbo will react.
