I am not saying you are wrong though.

It´s not ideal but to go from 1/4 to 3/4 there is little option! Ideally the drain would be 19mm on the tank.

It's more likey that the smaller dash size is a fitting on something and the -12 is the susply line. I have over a few hundred of these and spent many thousands on them. I am only trying to help.

Have you ever had a -6 and -12 in hand?

Sorry James, I wasn´t suggesting you were not trying to help, I just wandered your thinking! I work with fittings for a living, but by no means an expert!

As Vas says, we are going up not down, but I thought you meant the reducing nipple itself was the problem, not the direction. In which case, yes, -6 to -12 is not a good way to go...

Slightly off topic but are you breathing from the "dalek" part on the block and cam cover or somewhere else on the block ?

Vas has a 1/4 NPT female on his catch tank, and a 19mm tube on his Fumoto valve on the sump, he wants to use the Goodridge push fit and have a tight angle on the bottom of his catch tank as it is over his Exhaust.

                  Therefore
1/4 npt Male elbow to jic -8 Male
                  -8 jic to -8 jic female-female
-8jic to -12 jic male male
-12 jic to push fit of 19mm
Hose from there to fumoto valve.

Weld on a -12 male to bottom of your tank and then use a 135deg -12 fitting to keep it clear on your down pipe

Is the ABY sump plug the same size as the ADU? Whats the thread sizes?

Got my Fumoto valve through today, super fast delivery and the mocal oil hose fits perfectly

Edit:- upon closer inspection, it appears that the threads on the valve have been damaged, IMO from impacts with other valves during storage or shipping. The damage appears to be light and repairable but could damage the aluminium sump threads, if fitted in its current state. While this could happen to any sump plug, I do not see that it is acceptable on a £30 new part and so have emailed them.

Worth checking the threads for the same damage, if you purchase one
