Why would you bother steping up from -6an to a -12an? (a 12 is 3x bigger than a 6) its just a waste of money in my opinion you will not gain any flow from this. What are you hoping to gain from the step up?
I have also spent over £1k on fittings, hoses, weld on and adapters, so I have also handled a few.

Have you read the thread though? Vas needs to go from 1/4 npt to 19mm hose fitting, its not about flow, its about getting from one nipple to the other.

Indeed i have Read the thread through, I'm just curious why the change in size, why not just buy thank/valve with a similar size fittings? I know threads are different on many things but if you start with a similar size you are 1/2 way there already......
The Fumoto is available in many different sizes, could have matched this better at the point of purchase, especially if space is tight (less adapters) dose not matter now, I'm sure solution of adapters will be ok.
just to clarify,
fumoto valves come in one size nipple, not many, so there was no choise there. The one that fits the thread of the sump (26x1.5) only comes in 19mm nipple size.
Now my thoughts were to see if there was an adaptor and a goodridge hose to fit on the tank without needing to do many modifications so that i could easily get from the tank to the valve, and apparently there isnt.
After discussion with Rob though since i would have to go back down there i will have a 19mm nipple welded under the tank so that will be used as a drain and a samco oil hose will mount on that directly.
So thanks for the answers guys, and mad, once again many thanks for taking the time to walk me through the fitting sizes!!

Ok consider me told off, guess the best thing to do is to modify your tank now, you dont want the pita of 2-3 adapters.
yes, indeed. I thought i could have an easy solution but after seeing that i would have to use 345789093 adaptors to work, i thought best just to do a bit of welding afterall. And in any case, the tank is easier to take off, than the sump!
got the tank modified to a welded 19mm exit drain, got the fumoto valve fitted and all hoses connected.
Before i make the big switch to the valve to OPEN i have 2 more questions:
1) As the fumoto valve will be opened, oil will seep to the hose going upwards to fill the hose up to the point were the sump is full with oil. This will bring the oil level down slightly. Do i have to top it up?? Or just because the total amount is the same, i should leave it?
2) If there is a bit of wear on the piston rings, and some of the pressure is leaking to the sump, could/would that ever cause any problems to the configuration?(such as reverse movement of the oil, or a pipe blowout?
