Mine is all stock, with a Cone air filter.... sounds like a rather loud dump valve, i presume as the divert valve is right by the filter.

Sounds wikked, wasnt expecting it to sound how it does but glad it does

You could use this, but to avoid problems with your mixture you would have to use THIS fitting to make it a recirculating valve and keep it a closed loop system.

Nice valve though, I do like the HKS stuff, I just bought one of their SPF air filters .

I have a Dahlback racing piston BPV (DV.DBR.B25)

Once I got it the right way round it makes a rather satisfying PSSSH which is just right, not too loud..

Dahl back do some nice looking bits of kit, but they arent the cheapest out there!

Not seen the HKS Bov with that attachment before though. What it so special about that particular BOV anyway.

Jonas how have you got your DV installed?

I was running a forge re-circ for a while, but it caused the car to stall all the time. So back to a standard one from VAG now. £25, can't go wrong..

Exactly why I changed mine back from a forge re-circ, car was wanting to stall evertime the revs dropped down, replaced it with a later standard one from a 225 TT/S3, problem sorted

Was it mounted the right way round? I have to have my Dahlback one mounted 'backwards' otherwise the air pushes against the side of the piston and it leaks..

Take a look here for more details and comparisons..

The forge problem sounds like the valve was fitted backwards. Fitted in reverse, it works terrible! then again, it not made to go in backwards!! ;-)

I tried it both ways Martyn,,,,was pants both times,,,,,everytime I would come to a roundabout/junction and put the clutch in, the revs dropped down below normal idle (800/900 revs) and nearly stalled (never did stall though), then bounce back up above idle, then settle. Drove me bloody nuts. Bought a standard Bosch DV from my mate at local specialists who had removed it from brand new 225TT, they told me it is the same one as in the S3, which a few people on here are using, part number, 06A 145 710 N,,,No more bouncy revs
Funnily enough, I bought the Forge one to fix the exact same problem, only not as bad

                              I'm using this one!

Can be used as both blowoff or bypass.
