Regardless of whether you're running the stock ECU or any aftermarket system, you're still going to need a remap after every major engine change, at least to get full benefit.

    I don't see the saving.

its jst if i keep on tuning il may want another chip down teh line so your lookin at a £1000 worth of chips lol were as this engine management would be £813 all in for life no matter what mods got put on the car and i could also set a ecconomy setting and a max setting then have a middle setting to play with myself :-)

too many options and loads of travel required to get it sorted lol thats the worst bit,

i feel more under pressure cos id love it mapped intime for easter weekend (24th/25th april)at york drag strip to see how its running and time ticking away is making ti a tall order
It doesn't quite work like that, the ecu still needs to be mapped if you change the settings, the biggest thing is changing the ignition timing which until you've learnt about tuning is best left to the professionals

Mapping is not easy, ask Audiman he's a mechanic and 4 degrees too much timing destroyed an engine on 034 ecu, you have to learn A LOT and take it slow making gradual changes.

I had my VEMS mapped purely so I could get it on the road safely on quite and expensive engine and then it easily tweaked from that point

You have a hybrid, you have no reference points so it's a brand new map setup.

For 330 bhp get it mapped and then worry about future upgrades at that point later on.

                      =

Okay, so maybe you won't start a fire. But you might make bananas and generally f**k your engine. Which isn't cool. Swallow that spring, or make some kind of micro-sculpture with it to sit on your mantlepiece, leave the Motronic ECU in your car and go have MRC map it professionally. Also, don't take street heroin, don't talk to strangers and always be sure to tie your shoelaces.
