        Word of warning! The 3256 does NOT fit the ABY with airconditioning. You will need a length of M10 studding and some nuts and washers to space it and secure it....

          There's only 1 pulley lusted for ABY and ADU so this must apply to all

            Well it does not fit my car with AC, it could be the sub mount is different with the AC compressor next to it? But in reality, if it fits the way it look like it is designed to the "mounting" face of the spigot on the tool is approx 15 - 20mm too short to fit on the face of the ABY block. I will attach some photos....

              Pic as promised. Not the best but you can see where I had to remove the bolt, add M10 Studding and insert nuts and washer between the block and the back face of the spigot on the tool... (It also fits into the hole to the LHS which would hold the snub / ac compressor....)

                Thanks to some detective work by Paul N, we now have the definitive VAG answer! Hopefully attached is a extract from the ABY Workshop manual, unfortunately in German, that answers the question once and for all.
