Oh and of course - if you get same values with different MAF - then its more likely a wee air leak

Unbolt the wastegate cap and make sure the diaphragm is not torn anywhere.
Also make sure you have a stock spring fitted and the wastegate bolt is not tightened down.

just a point - had boost probs - mainly ECU running 5 -6 PSI - turned out to be faulty
MFTS - Vagcom registered nothing but as soon as I unplugged the MFTS back came the boost to 20 PSI.

            Might be of help.

Big circular connector on underside of water rail. It has a rubber boot. Squeeze and pull down to unplug it.

Water manifold is below the Inlet manifold. The MFTS is screwed vertically up into this, quite near the dipstick, has a rubber boot on it about 30mm diameter, absolute PITA to get at

                        Anywhere on these??

What parts aren't a PITA to get to with these cars...

I've had more issues with this car in one day than I have with 2 MK2 golfs in 2 years...

My love affair with S2's is waning quickly...

The mfts is threaded into the underside of item 35. In the 1st pic. There are 2 items plugged in there. Mfts is the bigger one.

With a cold engine stand at the passenger side wing, put your hand in above the aux water pump and forward a bit. Not too difficult to unplug it actually.

My Love - Hate Relationship with my S2 just keeps getting worse...

Found the MFTS and disconnected it... Test Drive - No difference...

Took off the RS2 MAF & fitted back the S2 One... Test Drive - No difference...

Ordered a MFTS From Ben... £76.00 Plus VAT Fooking Hell....

Whilst working on her she 1, Locked me out, 2 Ran down the drive and bumped the tree (No Damage Thank Fook)... 3, another MAF nut has vanished into the S2 Bermuda Triangle...

I love her and she hates me....

Shes Now Booked in with Autohausdolby (My Mate) on Friday to see if he can find the problem & give her a service...

Bloody car has cost me more in 20 miles than my MK2 Golf has in 2 years....

                              Any Other suggestions??

                                Still Not Sorted...

Car has been to Matts - Autohausdolby for a service and to try and find the route of this problem... He's given her a good going over, done a leak test and found nothing other than a leaky fuel line leak... Would this cause it?

Matt disconnected the ECU for most of the day!

Test driven it - and Matt thinks the same as me - it's an electrical boost issue as unlike before when she had a leak she wouldn't hit full boost... This is not the issue now.. she hits full boost and then just backs down to .5 bar...

What I found interesting on the drive there & back home is that if you keep her at .8 Bar she runs a treat, anything more and it just retards back again....

                                All and any suggestion welcome....
