Data points are very valuable, anythink you can document is always appreciated by all. -

Yes thanks for typing for me the explanation.

I can fill both my manifolds up with water as I have blanking plates made for them and they are both off the car just now. I will be comparing an RS2 IM with an AAN IM - I think Marco measured the 3B manifold and it was smaller volume than the ABY and ADU (those 2 being the same)S2,RS2,S4 WB,RS4,S4 B8,RS6 C5,RS6 C6,R8Comment

Yes, that would be great, keep us posted. Interesting about the ABY/ADU IM, aren't they the same outside dimensions?Originally posted by Doug_RS2I can fill both my manifolds up with water as I have blanking plates made for them and they are both off the car just now. While we're at it, anyone have a 3B manifold they want to sell me to chop up, got my eyes out for one.Comment

Hey all, a quick update, hit the dyno today with some more boost, 28.5psi, she made a solid 400whp, 415whp peak. Removing the airfilter netted .5hp, so no gains there
Up next will be some cam timing changes to broaden the power curve.Comment

Power comes in very late doesn't it? Would be nice to get that power further down in the rev band from say 4k upwards or even 4.5k, but good results tho. 415@wheels!! LMAO. Whats the boost curve like and how are you controlling it?? At what RPM's is the boost level??sigpic

I have one ... what do You want to know ?Originally posted by sal_s2Javad, have you had any experience with a gt35r turbo? Nice one Javad, pretty cool!!!
now get working on that IM to remove bottlenecks and let us know how it runs!!!! Also try decreasing cam overlap and we'll see...
any exhaust backpressure measurements to see how efficient your exhaust setup (EM, hot side and exhaust) is?

boost starts go get at 3700 0,5 bar ... at 4200 full boost ... but do to surge line it was limited to 1 bar ... 4500-5000 at 1.4 bar, 5000-5500 at 1.6bar, 5500 - 6000 at 1.8 bar and full boost 2 bar form 6000 to 7600. At 2 bar car gets crazyOriginally posted by sal_s2What revs does boost kick in and what is the max boost you are running?

How does it drive off boost?Comment

I'm using Perfect Power Smt6 piggyback as my management system ... next year hopefully I will use somekind of standalone do to plans for even a biger turbo. Now there is a new version Smt7 that should support ABY engines. We will verify that soon. The boost is contoled by Smt. It also enables geting rid of the maf sensor.Originally posted by sal_s2What engine management are you using?

Yes, it is quite late, this weekend I'll be increasing lobe seperation to reduce overlap, this is a base line with the cams set at their factory, 112d lobe seperation. Increasing this will definitely bring the power band down, as currently I begin to hit full boost close tor 5krpm, though the motor does not respond due to the overlap. With these cams and some adjustments, power should be extended downward some 500-1k rpm.Originally posted by audimanPower comes in very late doesn't it? This is with full boost set at 28.5psi, manually controlled for the time being.
3rd gear is very fast, 1st is quite useless, 2nd is marginally better, 3rd and 4th, once on cam, create insane acceleration speeds in my little Audi 80q. Havn't run out 5th to 7700rpm yet though
