    SPARK PLUG change. fr5dtc???

Hey guys... My S6 presented some ignition issues after 3 months of hibernation... like and occasional misfiring trouble. I did some tests, first of all, replaced the coils cooked ground wire for a freshy new one, cleaned the F5DP0R spark plugs with about 80K kms on it...and ... nothing solved... My fear was for a coil(s) failure (it's such a pain in the a**)...so then realized about the POS units and got a pair of them that were from my ex-CoupeQ with an AAN on it. Okay well the problem was the POS unit of the #1,2,3 cylinders....I replaced it this morning and now it's running fine again.

Now I want to replace the spark plugs, my car runs 100%stock for now, and my plans are to go not over the 380hp barrier for next year. The F5P0R spark plug in the only shop inside this town, it's price is 38euros EACH, it's quiet expensive and I need the car for tomorrow. My question is...is there someone running the tri-electrode bosch FR5DTC on their AAN/RR/3B/ADU/ABY engines? I red on 034Motorsport there are some 5 and 6 heat range sparkplugs and even a resistored and non resistored ones that one of them may cause issues on the dashboard function under boost. Thanks in advance guys...

P.S.: this was the problem I had on my car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IWgU...el_video_title

on this video i can't see any problem. acept bad noise which came from engine. hope that is tappets on cold start.
my opinion is that F5DPOR + RS6 ignition coil is superior solution for this engine.
every car which I do , and make this conversation is still on the road, without any problem .
bosch f5dpor cost 90 euro (set of 5)
ignition coils 170 euro (5 pice)
      conectors 30 euro

so you can make for 300 euro something perfect for your car. one day if you will want more power. this aplication will work fantastic.

the bad noise are just the lpg injectors... was a set of special injectors for high powered engines I ordered. Well the FD5DPOR costs me 200euro for a set of 5 on a shop near here... that is why I'm asking for the tri-electrode FR5DTC ones I used on some other turboed engines...but no idea about the appropiate heat range for the AAN or as mentioned on 034M "resistored o non resistored" ones. I'm looking for an alternative to the FD5POR... 40€ each it's a lot

Thanks man but I need to solve this issue for today, I have a long trip to do... I will try and test the FR5DTC by myself looking how the engine works with them...are quiet much cheaper and worked perfect with my previous Lancia turbo.

I bought the italian LOVATO LPG setup for my S6 with a 72L tank (in the spare tire place), in theory the setup holds up to 220kw. I still have to make some adjust on the map and the injector outlet sizing... it's running too rich with no boost and during overboost. Even running rich, I still have a great mileage, dunno on MPG but I can go at 90kmh and doing 6.9L/100km with stock motronic map and 5.5-6L/100km @50kmh speed limit... same consumption as with RON98. You can still cruise at 200kph like you were on gasoline...I can't even feel a loss in power. The system is new, and I spend the same money on fuel as anyone with a 3L TDI. 45euros for a full tank and lasts up to 650-750kms (depending how you drive it)...over the 130euros I have to pay to refill the tank of RON98. You wouldn't be disappointed of having an LPG setup on your classic, especially for your wallet

                        1. Use FR5DP or IK27
                        2. You are not getting 6.9 and 5.5. Your car is running too rich, motronic is reducing IPW using lambda and because fuel consumption signal is derived from IPW, your board computer is reading wrong.
                        3. If you do not remap the ignition, you will burn out the valves and ruin the head, stress the manifold, stress the turbo. Not good for your wallet.

Thanks PRJ! I will look for the FR5DP then... I had no luck today and couldn't find the s.plugs I was looking for at the shop...
About A/R ratio... I have the PLX SM-5 wideband so I can look how the ratio is (I need an EGT)... running on gasoline the car is getting the same consumption I wrote before. Running on lpg is never running LEAN but stoich at idle and rich when 1%+ of the gas pedal. The little problem is that it's mapped too way rich and the engine is having some issues, i need to reduce just a little percentage the fuel enrichment during overboost and low load (on vacuum)... I know which are the results of a "too economic" lean A/F ratio with lpg/cng to get more mileage.... a whole engine block and head TO THE TRASH. That is why I'm not letting my A/F ratio lean anywhere. I was thinking to get as soon as possible a chiptuning with 2 maps..the economic low boost (<1.9bar absolute) to run with lpg lowering a bit the ignition advance to lower the chamber temps and another one to run high boost with RON98. I will also upgrade the intercooling system, not for more power specificly, but for more efficiency of the engine.
