I'm going to run the mann catch can and drain back the oil to sump.I don't have pressure build up issue but seems i have excessive blow by from somewhere.my car is consuming too much oil from too much oil vapour coming out the PCV system.i heard folks said it's normal to see much of oil vapour if running the high boost.

I am sure if you Google Mann ProVent you will find out that is what you are looking (or at least one version of what you need/want). Marc S at EFI Express can source the Mann ProVent for you.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

While we are on the subject, what would you do with the pipe coming from the little fella below to the intake manifold when fitting a catch can?

Would you run it to the catch can too? or would you leave it on the basis that it probably wont let much through and it goes straight to the inlet manifold anyway?Comment

There's a hidden pipe inside the ABY cover that normally takes the fumes from the PCV system to the MAF hose, The long blue pipe in your picture is connected to the front end of this pipe and I wouldn't mind betting that the other end is open, in any case the long blue pipe is doing nothing, the only take off on the cam cover that actually goes into the engine for the removal of fumes is the smaller one of the two on the back.
If you take the one from the back of the cover and the one from the crankcase to the catch can and then take the output of the can either to the filter as you have it of via a bit of pipe to a remote filter (mine is low down in the engine bay) it will be fine. Mine is like this. You can ignore the hidden pipe entiely and leave both ends open if you wish.
The only time you'll get oil in the tank with this setup is when cornering very hard on the track, I've never had any oil in the tank on the road. The way to get around this is to join the pipe from the back of the cover into the pipe from the cc lower down so when oil surges in the head it drops back to the sump, in fact the original system is laid out in this way. I actually have the pipes and a T piece to do this but haven't got round to it

right..what i want to do is cap off the front rocker outlet, the rear outlet(large one,on rear of rocker cover)goes to the 32mm crankcase, also does the smaller one on the rear of the cover....There's a hidden pipe inside the ABY cover that normally takes the fumes from the PCV system to the MAF hose, The long blue pipe in your picture is connected to the front end of this pipe and I wouldn't mind betting that the other end is open, in any case the long blue pipe is doing nothing, the only take off on the cam cover that actually goes into the engine for the removal of fumes is the smaller one of the two on the back.

can i put the catch tank between the rear large outlet and the crank breather......
i am not going to run any more pipework as suggested in the illustrations provided, nor am i having fumes/oil going into the inlet of the turbo.....none of these are ever going to happenComment

that pic is a one way valve and used in conjunction with pressure from the inlet and works with the pressure regulating valve(black darlick)...only ditch this if you have nothing connected to the inletWhile we are on the subject, what would you do with the pipe coming from the little fella below to the intake manifold when fitting a catch can?

lol ..thanks jamo..thing is the breather system is not complex once the positive and negative pressure isuues have been deleted, but my mind is blocked...i will find another solution,my cossie and turbofiesta dont run over complicated breather systems and have been fine....looking at other audi builds not a lot of people are running pipes to there gt35 etc...hamish isnt, peters car never did, sport quatrro's dont eitherComment
