I would plug the rear outlet with a modded stock breather system. But I have dual 12AN breathers from the head and 30mm breather from the block directly connected to a swirl pot with feedback back to sump. I did leave the rear outlet open and plugged it also to the swirl pot. The idea was that on high rpm's the head can owerflow with oil, so there is a extra route back to sump for the oil, and it also flushes the hoses and pot with fresh oil every here and then. I havn't a clue if this is a good idea.

I thought that it will be something like this but I wasn't sure.
The picture above is from VW 2.0i engine. How this breather feets on 2.2t is it bolt on?
And sorry for the stupped question but that way is it going to be bad for the engine after all thses vipors are meant to go out of the head not to lopping them back or?

well from the nice drawing i presume you are venting the head from the CAP (it is not connected to anything) this prevents back breather to be overflow with oil but still it should be connected to catch tank at least I think! I'm mistaking somethin or not?
However if this is the case I saw somewhere on the web ESC tuning breather CAP/CAP with 2 one way valves much more compact solution.
However this VW breather is it bolt on on our cars or you need to mode something to use it? Do you need to take off the cam cover to install it?

Don't know the details...just found it on the net. I use the back plug right now but the catch can collects oil.
Or just accept it does that and fit a suitable swirl pot
I measured 50ml of oil after 10 2nd gear runs in a chipped ABY pulling around 0.5g max. On a proper power car, I can imagine a lot more oil going down the drain... So to speak.
