It just cuts out, no coughing or spluttering/hunting. Not got a spare ecu.
MAF connector is fine and MAF was cleaned last year, new 3 years ago.

If its immobiliser could be the barrel or the glass pin in the key has bust

          Please pull the codes properly...

Make sure there is 12V to the ECU.
          Check all the grounds.

If the fuel pump definitely does not turn on when the engine is cranking/turning over then it's either the fuel pump, the engine speed sensor, the ecu or the power supply or ground to any of those things.

If 30-60 sec is definitely correct, then it is not the immobilizer.
At least not the factory one. That one cuts out much sooner.
If the car has aftermarket alarm/immobilizer, it might be the problem.

              Quick update chaps..
Only had 5 mins to spare last night, but got it running again for about 60 seconds and when it died I pulled the blink codes....

              2121 - TPS?
              2111 - Engine speed sensor?

TPS was new 2 years ago, but not changed engine speed sensor, could this cause the problem.?

              Thanks guys

              James

2111 always comes up if you pull the codes when the engine is not turning. TPS may need adjusting or have a wiring fault?

Thanks Newsh... thought that was the case with 2111.
Will clean contacts/check wiring to TPS and see if it makes a difference.

Well....after a night on the car last night the problem has finally been solved
We tested the supply to the fuel pump when the car was running (about 30 second window before it cut out) and it was getting 12v, even as and when it died. Changed the pump to an original Bosch and its running fine. I would have thought a pump would die completely, but obviously cheap GSF pumps like to send you up the wall first!
Did a leak test while we were in the mood and also found my air leak....funny one as it wouldnt leak at 1bar pressure, but at just over 1bar it would open up and hiss like crazy...
Anyway thanks for all the advice chaps..and thanks to Jon for lending me a spare ecu to try
