    Injectors issues maybe

After commenting on Rocco thread on reliability I think an aftermarket accessory failed.

I drove 60km without issues. At one point the car started getting too rich 0.75lambda on idle rich.

I stopped the car and noticed that the tank cap was overflowing. Pulled the injector connectors and still the engine stated and idled. I then hit the injectors and it stopped running. Connected them and did 3-4 kms. Everything was fine. After that it was again too rich.

Lambda and EGO behavior seemed fine.

    Data:
Very hot day with 40 degrees Celsius
IAT in the city lights 64-70 degrees
    Siemens Deka injectors

Question: apart from the obvious what else can it be?

    Cheers

Not sure which "tank cap" you are referring to but ignoring that as "red herring" (misleading info), it sounds like your injectors are leaking like sieves, i.e. they are stuck open or something. There is no way disconnecting normal injectors would still allow the engine to start and idle. Yours have puddled fuel in the intake manifold. Get them out of there before you do some damage.

I stopped the car there and it is Beeing towed back home.

I mean the fuel cap (tank where you put fuel in the tank. I stopped the car and the was fuel comming out of there. Something like there was excess air inside the fuel tank.

Fuel coming out of the fuel tank (which is normally under vacuum) is crazy. There has to be some kind of pressure leak back through the N80 valve, through the evaporative emmissions canister and into the fuel tank. ALL bad.

This valve no longer works since I run VEMS (since 2008).

About this when I started the trip I fueled up the car and maybe the guy that puts the fuel (no self service in Greece) maybe pressed the button at the entrance of the tank to put more fuel in.

After I stopped the car for the first time and the fuel came out I then everything seemed normal.

I started driving and after 3-4 kms it started getting too rich again so I stopped again. Checked the fuel ank there and it was just fine.

Maybe the IM flooded and the valve shooted gasoline back?

              Any thoughts there?

              Anyone had similar issues?

Since the PCV valve no longer works, did you remove it or is it still there but not working?

The PCV valve (big black one) works. The blue valve does not work. It is still there.

Never had issues with it and when I hit the injectors and started again the tank was fine. Not sounds no fumes.

Thought about it but wouldn't it mean that the fuel pressure would drop causing it to be lean?

Consider In order to have lambda 1 at idle it corrected EGO at 85% and had an Injector opening of 1.3ms. Normally I see at idle 1.47-1.55.

A dead fpr can also dump fuel directly into the IM via the vac line
                        It happened to a4kquattro iirc

I remember when i refuel the gas.i will see some kinda pressure pushes out everytime.

I don't know if this's normal since my N80 was dead at that time and now i'm running

on VEMS with new N80 valve(but not working anyway).

How can I test the fpr? Only remove it and see if it looks damaged?
