I believe ive read somewhere the map is different cos the weight of the cars.
There is one difference apart from slight map changes and that is that the AAN ECU does not control the after run pump.
Therefore if you fit an AAN ecu to an ABY S2 the after run pump
will be none functional, unless you wire in your own circuit to control it.
On the UrS4 etc with the AAN, the after run pump is controlled by a separate system dependant of the ECU.

ECU is the same, calibration is somewhat different, because they were calibrated separately by different people.
That afterrun pump stuff is software.

        Hi Prj,

So, does this mean that an AAN ECU can be made to control the after run pump with a remap?

          Most likely, yes.
I'd have to look up how it works exactly to give a definite answer.

I'm not certain what I said above is totally correct, as I was just told this many moons ago, the only thing I can say for certain is there is no input from the MFTS to the AAN ECU and I think this I why the after run pump does not work, although looking
at the pin out of the ABY ECU I cant actually see how the ECU controls it anyway.

The MFTS input kills boost, but apart from that I am not aware that it is used for anything else.

I really have not looked into this much, but I can say that the hardware between AAN and ABY does not really differ, so any changes are software based.

I think it was Paul Nugent that told me, although I can't be certain
of that either, there has been many beers and two babies since so things are a bit foggy in the old memory

looking at the ABY pin out again I think this could be a red
                  herring.
According to the internet the after run pumps are all
controlled by module 324, looks like a relay but is solid state
                  electronics inside.

That is because the MFTS and the ECU have ZERO NADA NIET NOTHING to do with the after-run pump system. All mechanical switch and 324 control model (yes it looks like a relay but yes it is all PCB and solid state devices).

I am pretty sure I have posted about this before here. Anyway, links:

3b ecu or loom cant be the same as it has a dizzy, and no loom to fire the coil packs. AAN, ABY are coil pack

No, ECU has no effect on after run pump in either case, so everything will be fine.
