    Electrical Fault

Hi guys, long time no see! Moving house takes a bit of time dont it!
Well the problem with the car is when its first started, more from cold than warm although it does happen when warm, is the voltage stays at 10v untill revved up quite a bit..... Could this be an earth problem? Altenator? Not sure why it only raises the voltage when revved?
I think its more than likely the alternator but could do with second opinions guys!

Sounds like you have an alternator problem. After you have blipped the throttle, does it start charging OK??

Belt slip? Or could be the reg pack in the back of the alternator?

sounds like a regulator problem to me.

Why do you want 15V??? I cant see the reason behind this apart from making the lights a fraction brighter, and run the risk of destroying electronic components

Yeah ran out of it last week! Its not too bad at the min although having been in the new house for a week and having to leave at 4am every morning is being a pain. Especially as it needs revving to get the volts up!
Just needs mapping really, but theres a few more upgrades left to do yet, when ive got the dough.......
                Still faster than Bens though!

I have the same problem, when I start the car it isnt charging the battery. When I rev the car to 1100 rpm the low voltage light goes out and it is charging the battery. I already have this from the moment I bought the car, it is still working.

Erik that's more like a feature, not fault. Don't worry.
