More lag than a non gtx version, and possibly GT3076 if you belive what people say.

Yes but a GT 3071 is ~450hp and a GTX 3071 is ~550hp,
it's only a tiny bit more lag for 100hp gain.

I was told that the best to go for 500++ is the GTX3576 0.63AR.

Was more expensive than my budget. I went with HTA 3076 0.63AR and made roughly 490-500hp according to my calculations

On paper the gtx3071r looks like a great turbo. Would need a 0.82 turbine really, but would do 500hp easy enough on normal fuel like that. I think one on a 2.5 with a 1.06 twin entry housing and a quick spool valve would be amazing on the road. Fast spool and 525 hp...

I don't think a .82 ar would be a limit for a 2.5l engine. I'd say ideal!
