Yes, but it's more like boost limiting from seat control...

One option would be to add in a fused relay that's triggered by the switched live circuit, that way, you'll not be interfering with anything else.
That would be useful. I'm still crap with electrics though and it's a total nightmare to get up to the fusebox in the S2! The wiring is a mess since it's had a couple of alarms/immobilisers fitted over the years.

Dash out. It's a hour of work and you can then get everything sorted... as you saw with mine. Maybe not...

I'll give you a hand, plenty of spannering to do on mine in the next few weeks, so will work out nicely I'd say

Fused relay sounds like the best option IMO.

Steve I made my own loom for my electric recaros it is actually a really simple circuit - literally just a positive connection from the fuseboard with an inline thermo-fuse and a ground.
The electric seats are supposed to take a direct 30a feed from the fuse board, same position on the fuse board as the heated seats (where I indicated to you on that picture
The electric seats do not have a typical fuse, they use a 30A thermo fuse, one for each seat - same type as the electric windows.

What you need to do is make a pig-tail to take a feed from the fuse board and split it into 2 x 30a feeds for the seats (one for the electric adjustment and one for the heating) so they don't interfere with anything else
