Well I change the cambelt and waterpump at 50000 km/5 years for a daily driver... with moderate abuse...
I do this with all my cars (even to no Audi).

It's the same over here, mine has done 16,000 miles since the last change and that was 4yrs ago.

        It cant leak!
Easier access to the front of the engine.
        Less weight.

Most are removed as they are leaking and blanking is the cheapest fix.

....and when you replace your main radiator it's cheaper without the aux rad take-off at the top.

I ordered a AAN belt and water pump instead of the ADU belt and pump for my engine. Can't really see the ADU pump being worth 399€ vs 122,57€ for the most probably marginal increase in cooling capacity it gives.

If that 4 hole pulley is used consistantly on the RS2, I bet its off another VAG model. Who knows it could be a common or garden one.
Just realised that the crank cambelt pulley also has 26 teeth and the 4 holes! I wonder if they used that as a basis for the ADU waterpump pulley, modified to suit.
Certaintly if they had blanks it would be possible. The central bore would be greater on the crank than the waterpump spindle. Just a theory!
