It's a bit tight unfortunately. 2 options, 1 take the em off! 2 try and get the EM or DP studs off to move things around a bit.
My turbo has eaten something!

Loosen the bolt on the engine mount and the snub mount bracket and lift the engine to gain some access.Comment

Thought I'd update this with a few more pics of the turbo:

The housing looks reuseable if a little battered.
Have now got the new turbo fitted and am in progress of putting everything back together. Noticed that something that looks like it should have a wire on it doesn't:

Excuse my ignorance but does anyone know what it is and whether the red circled tab should have a wire on it? For reference, that is the downpipe on the left and just to the right of it is the turbo oil line. It's just below the turbo and exhaust manifold, the pic is taken from underneath the car.

The tab on your starter is not used, it's left blank.
I believe it was something to do with when it's installed on a UR, it prevents cranking if oil pressure is bad???Comment

That terminal is not used on our cars, IIRC it goes live when starting or to ground
and is used on some cars to energise something, point being, in our case nothing
is connected to it.

Didn't have a clue, either did it while I had the stereo on loud, which isn't often or god knows!
Yes it still boosted to 1.6 bar!
Have it all back together now with all new fluids, just doing some testing to check for any problems/mistakes with reassembly.
