Ask Alex, error 404 for the loom. His is what I have and it's totally oem looking and works a treat and is cheaper than anywhere else plus he is a top bloke. Get the taller coils from a tfsi engine and you are set to go. I have a thread on here somewhere with the part numbers for the Lucas coils I got but I can't find it without a computer lol

These Lucas ones are in my car and running so I know they work fine and no trimming required for an abyComment

What they said in reply:
"Hi Dave, we do have the red coils available to ship with the AAN harness
kits, but don't really advertise it, since they do not fit under our nice
stainless steel cover. Also, since the last revision to the 115D 1.8T coil,
we haven't really seen any failures like the previous version(s). I have
actually been running the red coils on my 1.8T for testing purposes, but
can't say that there is a noticeable difference when compared with the 1.8T
coils.
Anyway, thanks much for the feedback!
Cheers,

Don't know why the pricing is so much different. They certainly aren't made in the US so go figure.
Oops.
The price went up from when I bought a set 2 years ago.
$17.50 now.

Hmm...I am running red 115Es on my AAN with the AAN *cam* cover and they don't sit that high. (??!!) Maybe you meant 2 or 3 mm?
Here is my AAN engine bay, as shown in this photo from Strut Bar 101:

once again Dave you've earned your position on this forum as chief guru...
I re-checked the coils in day light this time and the difference is more like 5-10mm but my main concern, as I run without a top cover, how do you stop garbage falling around the coils, landing next to the spark plug and then in-advertantly falling into the head once you remove the plugs for whatever reason...
got any tips for this "Uncle" Dave?....
as for Bill's price (per Dave's earlier posting) shipping will be about $40 for a set and then it cost me about £28 for import duty although that was on 1 set.....well in the eyes of cutoms it was 1 set @ $75)Comment

I am not a guru. I just know a little about the AAN (and by extension, the ABY and ADU) and how it works (or what breaks, etc). *AND* I like to share what I know.

Hints? Try these:
1. Always run the belly pan. Keeps a lot of crud from entering the engine bay.
2. Never run any cover whatsoever over those 1.8T/2.5TFSI coil packs. Heat kills them. Any cover = more heat = earlier coil failure.
3. The coils do come with a rubber seal. The original shorter ones had to be trimmed to sit down far enough. The tight seal kept crud out of the spark plug well. With the taller coils, this might not work as well.
4. Always vacuum around the coil packs before removing them to change plugs (or tighten the plugs 30 Nm (22 lb ft)).
5. After removing the coil packs, I have a modifed shop vac tool with about 8 inches of 1/2" (13 mm) rigid plastic water pipe that I have duct-taped to the vacuum tool. I put that down the spark plug well before I remove the plugs. Spend a couple of minutes per spark plug well.
6. Once the plugs are out. I use the vacuum tool again.
7. Once I have vacuumed again, I use a piece of wooden dowel with a shop rag taped to the end to wipe off the sealing surface where the metal plug crush washer will land.
Oddly enough, I am just headed out to remove the original 2005 1.8T coil pack prototype harness that I am still running on my RS2'd 93 UrS4 to install a good (I hope) used Apikol harness (much neater than my prototype harness). Bought the used harness and 5 red 115E coils for US$200 plus shipping a few weeks ago.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan
