    n75 wgfv.

Ive been helping jim, human joist chase the boost cut he gets in 6th under load. Im now confident the system is leak free. However doing output tests and the n75 does not click at all.
The wiring looks good and jim is going to get the milti meter out.
I have a brand new one from a 1.8t. Two questions will it fit?
Failing thar has anyone had one fail causing these symptoms?
It is giving an overboost code which i guess it is if wgfv isnt opening.

Its plumbed up correctly the fact it doesnt respond to vcds would suggest a wiring or valve fault..

If you snap the throttle open and closed at idle it should click.

Possibly his one is actually stuck open so the waste gate isn't opening.

So activating the tps should cause it to click. I will have a look thankyou.
I believe jims is actually overboosting rather than a leak as before.

Overboosting is a sign that it isn't plumbed up properly, at least to the wastegate. But you say that it is so I don't know what the issue is.

You can also run the output tests using a blink tester. You have to wire up on the diagnostic connector put ignition on and then break and make the connection. Then trigger the output tests using the throttle valve to trigger the tests which which will check the ISV, injectors, WGFV etc.

You dont need much to do this, I keep one in my glove box which is a few cables, led, resistor and a button

Just realised you said you have already run output tests

i had this on a friends ABY. the wiring was broken between the valve and the ecu. Fortunately there is a connector close to the valve below the headlamp and that's where the break was.

                            We will check the wiring tomorrow. I have a new n75 from a 1.8t part number 06a 906 283 e.
Its fits the s2 loom and is visually the same. The resistance range is 25 to 35 ohms from what i have read.
I will try plugging it into the loom and see if it reacts to the output tests.

Right. Steve has just brought round a working N75. It does not click when activated through VCDS so it appears I have a wiring issue. I will check it's orientation later. But with my multimeter I am getting 14.6 from terminal 1 so I have power from battery. The other is giving mass volts at over 23 at terminal 2. I understood this should be coming from the ecu. What should this be reading, any help appreciated to sort this as I am still getting boost cuts
