When my car is cold (1992 s2 coupe) the idle goes from around 1000-700/600 rpm's. When warm it stays around 800/900 rpm's, cant remember if it is 800 or 900.
Any idea what can cause this?
Did put a HKS filter directly on the MAF see pic, if this could have any effekt?
You might want to check your idle stabilizer valve. Clean it with carb or brake cleaner. Relubricate it. The ISV is back by the firewall. It is a small cylindrical part right behind the throttle body.
Hi, i seem to have the same problem and its growing worse, idles at 1100, sometimes dropes after a rev or two.
As you all know im a mechanic GOD.. when i sleep, but during the day i seem to forget everything regarding mechanics :/ honest
can i clean this ISV with the same stuff i clean my MAF ? (i forgot the name of that solution again)
And, I dont suppose anyone has a picture of where this is located for me otherwise i will start unscrewing random objects and cause more harm then good
