Did you swap the right relay? (just askin')

Here's the diagram showing the 3 fuses and how the relay powers them.

Yes, you should be able to bridge between fuse 24 and 28. Connect them together on the side which has the power when the fuse is removed. Maybe use a 20A fuse to be safe?

It could be damp has got in the fuse box and caused some corrosion maybe?

I swapped the relay in the fuel pump location, 208 on top. Has a terminal marked 87a on the bottom.

Ok, well if it's the right one then the N75 won't have power with it removed..

Pull the likely suspects out and test for continuity to the injectors from the fuse to the injector connector. If its removed it should be virtually 0!

Just beeped mine through to one of the injector plugs, it's the RH one of the 2 under the yellow "Motor" cover, i.e. the one nearest the centre of the fuse box not the one up the right hand end.

                      Thank you for doing that!

Ok, thats good, thats the one I have been testing.

I am going to get a beep/light tester tomorrow, instead of a multimeter.

I am now not getting fuel when I crank? AAargh. Swapped the two sensors on the bellhousing, but still the same.

Want to rock the dizzy whilst cranking (I am sure it was lined up spot on, but hey ho), but the lock nut is a PITA to get to now.

Is one of the crank sensor plugs white to grey? Or should it be white to white and I have something mixed up?

Can anybody confirm the process for injector output test on an S2?

                          I was assuming that until I get the injectors to click the car will not start, however I assumed the injectors would click like the n75, however just red the ross tech site;

Some Outputs require additional action before they become active. Fuel Injectors are a common example. To activate a Fuel Injector, you must press (and in some cases release) the gas pedal. Exact details can be found in your Factory Repair Manual.
I guess the next thing is front end off, intake manifold, cam cover off and confirm timing 100%?

                            Woops, no throttle, from SJM

place your fingers down on fuel injector #1 and then open and close the throttle with your other hand. #1 Injector should click 5 times and then be quiet, place your fingers on Injector #2 and again open and close the throttle, Injector #2 should click 5 times, place your fingers on Injector #4 and open and close the throttle, Injector #4 should click 5 times, repeat for Injectors #5, then #3

Went out to try the output test again, and its now blowing fuse 27, engine timing one each time the ignition goes on (was ok before, had checked a few times)

Remove ecu, fuse does not blow.

I had a 10 amp fuse in 27, s2central lists 20, my fuse box lid says 10/20, could anybody confirm?

Tried a second ecu, but vag cant seem to speak to it.
