Can I install the setup for rs2, but use a bigger turbo? would it still limit it to 350hp? or would it push things higher? I fancy albert's route.. and limiting Nm.. so im getting more bang for buck.
what effect would this have? would parts still work but be limited ?
Or would they simply not work so well and its a case of parts must compliment each other and can only work in situ with each other?

Yes, you can. On the RS2, the turbo's compressor side is the thing that limits the whole motor. Cams, IC,manifold and afaik injectors (at least with more fuel pressure) are all good for a little more than 400 hp. Custom map, as mentioned by Andy, is necessary.Comment

I had dyno'd with 2871 on tired AAN bottom end and still holding 500nm crank flawlessly FYI.one of a few I5 from Asia.Comment

2871 is the Garret Gt2871 turbo. That´s one of the most common replacements for the RS2 turbo. Bottom end means the hardware of your motor, specially the rods. He uses stock rods, that´s why he says "AAN bottom end"- not aftermarket upgrade rods. Well- that´s my interpretation ;-)Comment
