I just asked lmao iv read everything but havent come across the problem im having ... the g40 (camshaft sensor) keeps putting my car into limp mode so i have no boost whatso ever theres signal coming from the ecu to the sensor but on the scanner it just comes up crank sensor short with power intermittent iv cleaned and put it back on but no different any clues? Possibly, checking the timing is pretty easy and worth doing before you go any further. I know for certain that you can lose boost if the timing is a tooth out.
Im not loosing boost im not getting any at all just straight limp mode and a fault code of 0515 i think it was if i disconnected the maf i had 1 bar boost ... its NOT the maf as i replaced it aswell as checked all pipes i had scanner on numerous times cleared codes went for drives rescanned it same fault came up ... camshaft fault intimittent

Did you miss this in the link I provided? Read the Signal Failure info: (Also see text under the figure):

(G40) Hall sensor in distributor
(3B, early AAN engines) or camshaft position Hall Effect sensor later S4/S6 AAN engine).

Im only getting short with power dunno if its going short to positive or short to ground ... this morning i had problems starting the car eventually started but its been giving me limp mode before now hence when the car didnt start this morning it made me think it was defo in need of another camshaft position sensor

You are asking the Audi Gods to Smite you with vengeance by ignoring the signs of impending doom.
But check out the wiring at the connector/plug.
