Fingers crossed. It was a long time ago. My son was 3 months old. He's just started high school.
I will be posting pictures of the rally shortly. been really missing the forum. just life takes over.
I think you'd just fitted an RS2 Farb and a Whiteline rear ARB at the garage meet.
The garage meets were great events.
very good of Greg's dad to host them I realise why they stopped.
Work will resume tomorrow!
There is a large pipe fitted in the underside of the MAF sensor to throttle body. this pipe was not in place at all. bit like having a 12mm hole in your induction. The pipe was fitted in with great effort and the car now ticks over for the first time in 22 years.
Hey there Keep an eye on that rubber elbow as they are prone to splitting where that metal pipe attaches. The fact they are so difficult to fit doesn't help

Dear all, Thanks for the comments. I used some Holts rubber and nylon lubricant on the pipe and hole. it worked a treat. Fingers crossed that the early pipe doesn't fail...
The main problems with the audi is that even though it's low mileage it is suffering from component failure. The headlamp brackets plastic cracks and falls off. The rubber window trims at the front and rear of the door have disintegrated.
After 5 hours trying to convert an early failure prone door lock into a later casting I managed to have a very brief drive. the car is transformed. she moves away with a light touch of throttle instead of having to boot it.
tickover is rock steady at 800rpm.
I'm probably now going to spoil it by fitting the 7a injector conversion...
Rolling road booked at Mikeanics in Congleton on Tuesday morning. fingers crossed.
