    Nice one Kit,i had no idea your coupe had a special head.This is exactly my requirements for the reasons you mentioned.I bet your car must be a hoot to drive.I think i might need to swing by your way again

    I say this because i have now at the shop a motronic running s6,k26 turbine,wagner exhaust manifold,green bosch 440 injectors,coilpack conversion,044 bosch in tank pump,14 point afr/egt/fuel pressure tool and client needs a custom map.

    Pasbogdan,unfortunately i already bought the Wagner manifold, Volvo turbo,Porsche 944 S2 hotside,i already have the head,but i don't see this as detrimental to my plans.Yes i will ask about injectors which was part of the original question.

    First find the person that will provide the software.Generic or live map.After that buy the parts.

    If you want it to be the best it can be you need a live map on your car, so with the stock ECU in the UK Automark is to be the current option.

    He will map a k24 7400 with 440s, but would rather use smaller injectors when I spoke to him. You can fit all the mechanical components, leave the n75 unplugged (so only spring boost), then fit the injectors at Automark. The car will run on 440s with a stock ecu, but pig rich (not advised).

    JP/JNL Racing on here for the headwork;

    Thanks Rikki,i think that's the way i am going to go mate. I'm going to call him tomorrow fingers crossed i can get hold of him.I've heard he's a very friendly chap,at least anyone who's been to see him recently has all said that.So once i get to talk to him and understand whats necessary i will have my work cut out to get things rolling my end.

    Can anyone recommend a first class reliable engineering firm who knows the engines who can machine out the extra waterways on my 7A head?

    Mark AutomarkUK did mine and has done a few on here he is a very knowledgable man very helpful and probably one of only a handful left who will faf about with our older cars think my set up is very similar to yours he spent the whole day doing a custom live map and car feels rapid boosts to 1.5/6, had issues on a dyno run but that was caused by a post map boost leak now sorted n waiting to get back on a dyno for some figures, give him a call he is always happy to talk, when you can get hold of him

    Good luck with that....
    Thanks. So would it be ok for me to just fit all what i have mentioned i.e.; Wagner evo RS exh manifold,Volvo turbo,3" downpipe,custom intercooler bosch 440cc injectors perhaps a ported and flowed head and run the stock ecu until i can get it mapped on a rolling road?

    Custom tune is when you make adjustments to the information on the chips in real time - to make it as good as possible for your specific set of components... optimal. You need car, tuner and dyno (or private road) in the same place at the same time for this...

    Thanks for that,whilst i was faffing around with my reply i didn't see yours. I think i will need some tailoring as you suggest as many of the tunes on here are based around the standard RS2 exhaust manifold.

    I'm thinking the wagner evo rs2 manifold along with a ported and flowed head for maximum easy of flow and efficiency is the way to go for lots of low down down torque and boost as Kit has mentioned.That's the sort of engine i'm after and the reason why i chose the Volvo turbo as it provides just that as it's 10 years newer technology.I'm not after huge bhp just extreme efficiency.

    Thanks Andy. So would i be right in thinking Prj is the best and only way to go as he has the chipset for the Volvo K24 7400? Excuse my ignorance i'm learning here. So if prj's chipset is generic i would need to get the car on a rolling road to get the best out of the chipset/tune of my engine?

    Regarding the injectors i think i'll give mark a call at Automark to see what he thinks.
