That dutter manifold must need a shorter radiator? Or a taller bonnet....

Have you seen Dutter racing new intake? Much more "simple" design and a single throtle body ( last year he had ITB's). Also he is making 1000+HP. Sorry if it's off topic

As you may have noticed repo didn't mention much in the way of hi but torque. My car with the wagner manifold makes around the same he as repo mentioned but no more than 600nm . Of course no boost pressure is mentioned on repo's post or other details to compare so it's hard to understand if those numbers are just down to the inlet manifold.
Nevertheless the point is that from what I understand you get more torque than he with a better inlet manifold.

At least that is what I understood from the posts above.

In my experience the throttle response and overall performance is better with well designed intake manifold.

A customer dynoed 490hp and 860Nm from standard AAN with reclocked standard cams. Pump gas and 45mm inlet restrictor. He has my intake and exhaust manifolds.

Anyone done higher torque on standard engine with single plenum intake?

Also stretching to another end, the most powerful 2.2 I know, made 1320hp on dyno, and has an intake manifold, that has sort of a nozzle feeding air to the plenum, doing the same thing, just with a little different approach to equal flow.

Highest I've done with my end-feed type dual plenum was 1190hp.

Are there bigger number out of 5 pot with single plenum designs?
Repo what sorta cost is your intake manifold. At 550 bhp on the modified aan intake do you feel your manifold would bolt on and make much more power? Approx how much? 5 bhp or 50 bhp? Assuming the turbo can flow some extra air obviously.

I also have a modified aan intake similar to the one pictures here on my urq build hence the interest.

Just trying to answer the important "is it worth it" question.

Though I'd add to this as I've made one.

The main reason I went this route was packaging but they also allow great use of outboard injectors which make more power than inboards alone.

Other than that I wouldn't say they make any difference to power and spool of the turbo (assuming that the runners and volume are the same).

maybe sometime I'll make my own dual plenum when I am bored

I'm not interested. I was pointing out that the thread started out as an interesting question for discussion and everyone started posting porn.

For me and peasy 480hp I'm not going to spend 1500£ to get slightly better spool and perhaps torque that it also means changing to a multilayered clutch to cope.
