Heater box/flaps rebuilt so no faults there.

I wonder if the water pump impeller has failed, it’s been known for the plastic ones to detach from the shaft and stop pumping.

Changed the WP to genuine one when I bought the car, but its been a a couple years already! No issues with engine temps so I think its not the WP

I have been suggested that its the head gasket, will have to do some further testing.

Are you losing coolant? You said there's no sign of coolant in the oil. Any oil in the coolant?

No coolant loss or excessive pressure in the system. No coolant in oil or oil in coolant.
