We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
I also have both, cheap enough to buy, however as ive posted elsewhere the ABY Tool WILL NOT FIT IF YOU HAVE AIRCON!!!
Reason being, you have to remove the aircon mounting brackets and it should bolt in to one of these holes, which it would do fine, if it wasnt for the fact that its about the size of the pulley for the aircon too short for it to fit!

So what , do i have to send it to audi ??? just for the tooling to be correct ????
they not very proffessional here in spain can not even tell me how long it takes !!!
You can make your own tool using box section metal and cutting it to fit the notch in of the pulley. then weld another piece of box section onto that to lever against the engine mount at the front. its dead easy to make.

Heres one I made for my ABY with air-con. As you can see its probably slightly over engineered
I designed it to rest on a axel stand, after a suggestion from another forum member.
I will say however, I would not use leverage to undo this bolt. I think the force it too great for the woodruff key.
I personally would use an impact wrench (Air Gun), and gun it for as long as it takes. You will be able to undo it without locking the engine. Impact is far more effective than leverage.
I would however use leverage to tighten the bolt up (after it has been initially imapcted in) as the force it no longer on the woodruff key once the bolt starts to tighten. You will need to lock the engine to do this and to confirm it has been tightened to 450Nm. (Or 350Nm if you have the torque multiplier)
