window tints- yes or no?

Isnt allow wheels other than standard a chav thing too then?

I cant belive that (some of) you guys are saying that my standard s2 with tints to the manufacturers specification (fitted by audi) has turned it into a chav car but 19" alloys, 3"exhaust and funky looking mirrors isnt. I refuse to be labelled a chav because I have a slight tint on my window.

tints of a light mode or medium should be used also for health reasons.the sun is getting very hot and the UVC rays due to ozone layer destruction are more leathal nowdays.These rays are also apparent even without the sun being present(in a cloudy day for instance)...so i will be surely using them on the RS2,although illegal here in Greece.I plan to get some document from a dermatologist too,just in case

Brilliant a squabble over window tinting........I think I will sit back and enjoy this one.

In answer to your original post, either my polar RS2 has a factory light tint or was done before my ownership. Its difficult but it looks darker than the S2 however the non audi front windscreen may be confusing the issue

all audi windows have a natural greenish tint built in the window.you can tell if there is additional tint by looking at the corners.the film is easily recognised.

I think tints are fine, dark or otherwise. I would tint my windows from the rears backwards, and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, as long as I like it. It's my car, my tints and most important, my money.

Not everyone likes S2's, but we do, so what do we care?

The current A8 comes with darker tints from the rears backwards as an option... You call these Chav? I don't.

Darreni will the opinions of people on here really matter ,if you like the tints get it done,if it puts a smile on your face go for it.You can sometimes think you need the forums permition to mod your own car.A really scruffy unkept S2 to me is as bad as fitting neons,and some of these guys wont like tints.moral to the story each to your own.
